IT sales set to be hit by bank cuts
IT sales jobs employees face a difficult time trying to sell to banks, according to Cititec.
The IT recruiter has warned that banks are cutting back on the amount they are willing to spend on IT contractor rates.
Five big investment banks are said to have definitely introduced cuts, making it likely that commission for those in IT contractor sales jobs are likely to be hit.
However, managing director of Cititec, Stephen Grant, told Recruiter magazine that the trend only seems to be concentrated across the five major banks.
He said: "This is definitely not across the board.
"I have not heard it is going to be across the market. Most ledgers have not been cut."
Six city banks recently told IT contractors to accept an 11 per cent pay cut or face an immediate termination of their agreements.
