Recruitment marketing firms 'to receive prize'
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development has announced that a new category will be introduced to its recruitment marketing awards for 2009.
A Candidate Experience prize will be presented to a recruitment agency who can demonstrate excellent experience for job applicants, whether during the application process, the interview or afterwards.
Richard Goff, content and relationship development manager at the organisation, said that the awards are even more relevant for recruitment marketing professionals under the current tough economic conditions.
"Those that think creatively and come up with powerful solutions will ride the storm and emerge stronger when the economy picks up," he added.
Earlier this week, business leadership consultancy DDI's 2008 Global Interviewing Practices and Perceptions report indicated job interviewers are failing to prepare adequately for employee recruitment.
Some 47 per cent of recruiters were found to spend less than 30 minutes reviewing candidates' interview results before making a decision about whether or not to offer a job.
