Career rethink 'can improve job search'
Candidates looking for sales jobs should rethink their job hunting strategy to ensure they get back into work quickly, it has been suggested.
Leading career transition coach and working lives expert John Lees stated that people should not apply for jobs in a panic and take time to remove any bitterness about their previous role before heading to interviews
He added: "If you want to change career path, your CV needs to be very clear about why you want a change of direction. The opening section should communicate the explanations you would give when handing the document over to someone in person."
Mr Lees went on to stress that it is often the fault of a candidate if they find they are offered similar roles to those they have had in the past and CVs must always be clear about why a candidate is pursuing a new career direction.
Earlier this week, professional services giant KPMG commented that any experience a candidate lists on their CV must always be up-to-date and relevant.
