Recruitment industry 'looking up'

The online sales recruitment industry is set for recovery in the second half of this year, it has been claimed.

According to Alex Paterson, founder of Check4Jobs.com, niche employment sites are recording an increase in the number of business development jobs they are posting, although industry operators should still remain cautious.

He added: "From what I am hearing from some of the big players out there and more niche job sites, business sales has started to grow for the first time this year and that is something I can agree with."

Mr Paterson went on to say that the summer is always slow for the recruitment industry due to people going away on holiday and businesses slowing down on key projects.

Earlier this month, figures from the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index indicated more sales jobs in the retail sector could be heading online as the industry continues to grow despite the recession.
