Personal marketing 'is key' to phone interview success
Sales jobs candidates who have to undertake a phone interview should ensure that they have good professionalism and industry knowledge in order to succeed.
Peter Cheng, a sales recruitment expert writing for DailyNexus.com, also said that a certain degree of personal marketing is a key factor in whether a person receives a second interview or job offer.
"Prepare far in advance by bulking up knowledge of the company that is about to carry out the interview. Focus on their mission statement and objectives
this will give people a good picture of how the company was established as well as how they are perceived," he added.
Mr Cheng commented that real-life examples that can be provided by a sales job candidate are the best answers that can be given in behavioural questions.
People should also show humbleness to learn and an ability to be able to problem solve, while also ensuring that they have a list of questions ready for the interviewer to show that they are keen to get the sales job.
