Expert: Recruitment recovery should be celebrated

The recovery in the recruitment sector should be celebrated, according to an expert.

A spokeswoman for Jobsite said that any positive shifts should be welcomed, however, there is still an air of caution in the market.

Her words came after recruitment firm Manpower revealed that a one per cent of UK companies are intending to recruit staff over the coming three months, which could include creating sales jobs.

"The recession hit many organisations hard and with quite sudden force so it's no surprise to see the return to recruiting being slow and cautious," the representative said.

She added that there is a fear among some firms of running before they can walk, however, these slightly positive increments will gain momentum over the coming months.

This return of "vigour" to the recruitment industry will also see a greater investment in technology to help organisations meet the demands of the future, according to the spokeswoman.
